Leica STELLARIS 8 – State-of-the-art confocal imaging
The Leica STELLARIS 8 is a high-performance confocal laser scanning microscope designed for high-resolution, multiparametric fluorescence imaging.
Our configuration includes highly sensitive HyD detectors, which enable efficient photon detection across specific spectral ranges extending into the near-infrared and thereby ensuring excellent signal quality with an expanded spectral range. Thanks to the integrated and extended white light laser (440–790 nm), it enables maximum flexibility in excitation and the simultaneous use of multiple fluorophores.
The Taus-Sense functions provide ultra-fast fluorescence lifetime imaging that can be performed with any detector and can be used e.g. to reduce autofluorescence, visualize lifetime differences in color, or separate spectrally identical signals based on their lifetimes. If more complex analyses are required, the FALCON extension offers the capability for fast and detailed curve-fit analyses or phasor representations and evaluations. In combination with the HyD detectors and the extended white-light laser, FLIM measurements are possible across the entire spectral range and are seamlessly adjustable.
The Navigator function provides an intuitive sample overview, precise localization of regions of interest, multi-position imaging, and tile scans. SpectraPlex technology enables highly multiplexed 2D and 3D analyses with numerous markers in a single experiment, significantly expanding upon traditional multicolor approaches. The system is complemented by modern deconvolution and image optimization methods (LIGHTNING), which improve resolution and contrast beyond the limits of conventional confocal imaging. Our configuration also includes a trigger box that can be used to synchronize external peripheral devices, which can be operated during specific segments of longer experiments.
This makes the STELLARIS 8 ideal for demanding applications such as live-cell imaging, highly multiplexed analyses, functional imaging, and quantitative fluorescence studies.
